Investment Strategy Explorer helps investment professionals explore emerging themes, understand how companies are exposed to those themes, and use exposure scores to inform investment strategy decisions. The experience makes complex thematic data easier to explore, evaluate, and apply to different investment approaches. The experience guides users from initial theme exploration through evaluating company exposure.

MSCI has shifted to using themes in index creation because there is a shift in the interests of investors. They aren’t just trying to track the market anymore—they’re trying to capture specific long-term trends. Themes are a way to turn those trends into structured, investable strategies.
Powered by an LLM-driven workflow, the Strategy Explorer calculates strategy exposures by linking company business segments to investment themes, replacing manual universe construction.
